Jon Batiste is one of the most accomplished musicians of our time. A Juilliard-trained artist, he served as bandleader and musical director of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert from 2015?2022. He won an Academy Award, Golden Globe, BAFTA, NAACP Image Award, and more for his work on Disney/Pixar's Soul. In 2022, he earned a Sports Emmy for his NCAA March Madness opening piece. His 2021 album WE ARE received 11 GRAMMY nominations across seven categories?a historic first?and won five, including Album of the Year. The Netflix documentary American Symphony, produced with Barack and Michelle Obama's Higher Ground, follows Batiste's creative journey as he composes a Carnegie Hall symphony while supporting his wife, bestselling author Suleika Jaouad, through cancer treatment.
